Water swelling rubber has characteristics and advantages over ordinary rubber. This type of rubber undergoes 2-3 times expansion deformation when exposed to water, filling all irregular surfaces, voids, and gaps of the joints, while generating enormous contact pressure to completely prevent leakage. When the joint or construction joint undergoes displacement, causing the gap to exceed the elastic range of the material, ordinary rubber waterproofing materials lose their waterproofing function. And the material can also stop water by absorbing water and expanding. Using water swelling rubber as a sealing and water stopping material not only saves usage, but also eliminates the characteristic of elastic fatigue caused by excessive compression of general elastic materials, making the waterproof effect more reliable.
