Working Principle
The bowl shaped support mainly relies on several components working together to achieve its function.
When subjected to vertical force, the force transmitted from above is applied to the rubber plate inside the support. The rubber plate is elastic and will deform under pressure to buffer and disperse the force. At the same time, the basin below will limit the excessive deformation of the rubber plate in all directions, so as to stably transmit the vertical force.
When there is a need for horizontal movement, the friction coefficient between the PTFE plate in the support and the matching stainless steel plate is very low, which allows the upper part to slide smoothly relative to the lower part to adapt to horizontal displacement and avoid excessive additional stress inside the structure.
When the structure needs to rotate, the elasticity of the rubber plate allows it to produce local deformation under uneven force, driving the upper part to rotate. The combination of polytetrafluoroethylene plate and stainless steel plate will not hinder rotation, thus meeting the requirements of structural rotation.
Simply put, pot type supports use components such as rubber plates and polytetrafluoroethylene plates to achieve vertical load-bearing, horizontal displacement, and rotation functions, allowing the structure to stably and flexibly respond to various stress situations.
